Recent Trends and Potential Improvements of Criminal Sanctions under the Fair Trade Act 2023-11-17 16:26:37

Sogang University's ICT Law and Economy Institute held a seminar on the "Recent Trends and Potential Improvements of Criminal Sanctions under the Fair Trade Act" at the annex of Sangyeonjae (City Hall branch) on November 17, 2023.

In this seminar, academic and industry experts gathered to discuss ways to improve the criminal regulations under the Fair Trade Act, the exclusive complaint system and the mandatory complaint request system, and the criminal leniency system on cartels.

Sogang University's ICT Law and Economy Institute held the "Online Platform Regulatory Trends International Seminar (II)" with the congressman Kim Hee-gon's office in the 2nd Subcommittee Room of the National Assembly Hall on September 6, 2023 (Wednesday). 

 
Following the first international seminar, we looked at the pre-regulation issue from an empirical and privacy perspective through foreign experts, and discussed the desirable agenda of online platform policies with domestic experts.

Sogang University's ICT Law and Economy Research Institute held a seminar on December 30, 2022 at Sogang University's Javier Hall under the theme of "Diagnosis and Prospects of Legal Issues of DAO Based on Blockchain Technology."

Sogang University's ICT Law Economics Institute has set up a forum for experts to discuss information and knowledge about "Decentralized Autonomous Organization(DAO), which is drawing attention due to the recent growth of the virtual asset market and the spread of Defi. This time, legal experts working in academia and practice gathered together, centering on the newly launched Korea DAO Law Research Association.

In this discussion, we reviewed the corporate legislation of decentralized autonomous organizations, outlined the guarantee of national basic rights with the development of information and communication technology, and discussed ways to improve the system for user protection.
